Fender®'s Custom Shop is proud to offer the D'Aquisto® models of exquisitely handcrafted archtop jazz guitars. Master Builder Stephen Stern was fortunate to have been able to study with one of the world's greatest luthiers -- the late Jimmy D'Aquisto. Today Stern carries on the D'Aquisto tradition with one of the finest archtops made. This Ultra features carved solid maple back and sides, with a highly figured maple neck and hand-carved spruce top. Binding on the F-holes, neck, head, and top complement the uniquely styled pickguard and tailpiece for truly heavenly looks. The Kent Armstrong floating pickup provides the rich, muted jazz tones of yore and brighter, more modern sounds as well, depending on EQ and amplification. The precision-crafted ebony fretboard is highlighted by pearl bar inlays, a unique six-part headstock inlay, and lustrous gold hardware. Deluxe hardshell case included.
